“What kind of market is Durango?”
In the real estate world in Durango, we are always discussing inventory. Limited inventory has been affecting our market for some time, and that trend won’t be changing in 2019.
Oftentimes, clients come to me overwhelmed with all they’ve heard about the Durango housing market – high market values, increasing prices, low inventory, “seller’s market,” renovation cost and benefits, and more. With my experience, I can help guide clients through our Durango market to find a home that meets their needs and wants.
I just returned from a conference I attended in New York City. Each year, I enjoy learning about the trends and technology in the real estate industry. As a Realtor, getting perspective of all things real estate nationally enriches my business here in Durango. Many international attendees come for the same reason – to get the big picture of real estate in the US.
Hot markets project and are starting to see this year as a possible “transformational market” from an extreme “seller’s market” to the beginnings of a “buyer’s market” suggesting that the luxury market is most prone to price decreases. It will be interesting to see how this forecasted trend effects our local market in Durango.
